lets talk....
Comments are so substancial to blogs, because they help you understand what to do if you need to reach out to a certian type of people. Today we spoke with two PR professionals, and we discussed how to get the word of an annual conference out there. We suggested that a blog would be helpful along with a Facebook page. With communication today the back and forth motions of how you should approach your audience can drastically be changed when considering comments.

lets plan...
When I first started school I had no idea what major to declare (like many other students), I figured out along the way I thoroughly enjoy Event Management. In the Summer of 2009 I was hired as a special events coordinator for Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. I couldn't believe on how much stuff I had accomplished within 1 year. Needless to say I fell in love with the job I had, and couldn't wait to make it a full time career.
As an overview for goals and responsibilities in this career I have created a list of what is intended for me in the field:
- Relationship-building with key stakeholders
- Pre-event and on site communicationn with delegates
- Represent and deliver service excellence that is in keeping with the organizations brand
- Work closely with internal and external event planning committeess and client groups to define event goals, objectives and specific implementation plans that mromote the organizations brand
- Work closely with programs managers, commitiees and communications staff to effectivly promote the event

I would love to invite anyone who would like to take place in the Tour de Broward event to please contact my team at http://www.tourdebroward.com/; here you can register yourself for many of our activites as well as create your own team in support of Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.

Back to the Future
Thinking about Public Relations as your major?
here's a brief history on PR
Public Relations, or as the Greeks call it sematikos, has the definition to signify, or to mean. For thousands of years public relations has been with us, in 50 b.c. Julius Caesar wrote the first campaign to publicize his military exploits. His goal was to convince the Roman people that he would make the best head of state, and through his personal skills and speech skills he was able to make his way to the top.
When we look into the strategic ways human success in the public relations field we can narrow it down to a few bullet points:
Tell the truth
Provide accurate facts
The public relations director must have access to top management and must be able to influence decisions
Public relations is all about the relationship with the company and to the people, this involves much communication. The company will succeed on performing good deeds for the consumers. When creating a good foundation for human communication in the public relations firm we include:
PR is a public service
It should promote good ideas and progress
PR should build a public conscience
With these ideas the company can succeed through the process of human communication. When we look back on the history of PR we can succeed in the future strengths of tomorrow. The more we know and understand the more we can grow in the company of public relations.
